The Emperor's Pleasure Court

The story

In a desert city dying of thirst, Nahra, a well-digger's daughter, is carried into the Emperor's Pleasure Court as his newest concubine. On the way she gives her cup of water to a chained barbarian. That night Korr climbs the palace wall to find her. The law of the Court is simple: a man found inside dies, unless he is cut. So Korr chooses the knife, and a gentle giant at the gate fakes the cut.

How it was made with Katechon Arc

1. Rewrote the vertical series opening as a widescreen script and loaded each chapter straight into Arc as episode source.
2. Reused the series' cast sheets and re-shot every location as 16:9 camera plates, so the widescreen film matches the vertical episodes.
3. Generated all units on Seedance 2.0 Fast, then cut each unit with its title cards and loudness-normalized the film.
4. Upscaled the master to 4K before publishing.

Production facts

What we learned

• "Cold blue shade on her face" made Seedance paint a character blue-skinned. Keep colour words on the environment, never on skin.
• Seedance 2.0 Fast at 16:9 held character identity as well as Mini at 9:16, and dialogue came through essentially word-perfect.
