Privacy Policy
Katechon Arc ("Arc", "we", "us") is an AI video creation platform operated by Katechon Technology. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Arc, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
01Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address, display name, profile picture and a Google account identifier. Administrator accounts may instead use a username and password, which we store as a salted hash.
Content you create. The texts, scripts, briefs, reference images, audio samples and other files you upload, the prompts and instructions you write, and the images, video clips, voice-overs and films that Arc generates for you. Conversations with the creative assistant are stored so you can return to them.
Usage and billing records. Which generation tasks you run, which model and provider served each one, its duration and cost, your credit balance and payment history. Card details are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers.
Technical information. IP address, browser and device type, timestamps, request logs and a session cookie that keeps you signed in and lets your browser load your own media.
02How we use it
- To provide the service: sign you in, keep your projects separate from other people's, run generation tasks and deliver the results back to you.
- To bill you: meter usage, apply credits and process payments.
- To keep Arc safe and working: prevent abuse, debug problems and understand how the product is used in aggregate.
- To contact you about your account, security or changes to the service.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your content to train AI models.
03AI processing and third-party providers
Arc generates media by sending your inputs to specialised AI providers and returning their outputs. Only the data needed for the task is sent. The providers we use today are:
| Provider | Purpose | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in | Your Google account during authentication | |
| fal | Image and video generation | Prompts, reference images and storyboard frames |
| ElevenLabs | Voice-over and speech synthesis | Narration text and any voice samples you provide |
| OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to | Script writing and the creative assistant | Your source texts, briefs and assistant conversations |
| Stripe | Payments | Payment details and your email address |
Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. We may add or replace providers; this policy will be updated when that changes what is shared.
Our servers and stored data are hosted with infrastructure providers under contracts that restrict them to acting on our instructions.
04Retention and deletion
Your projects and generated media stay in your account until you delete them or close your account. Usage and billing records are kept for as long as needed for accounting and tax obligations. Request logs are kept for a short period for security and debugging. When you delete a project, its files are removed from active storage; copies may persist in backups for a limited time before being overwritten.
05Cookies
Arc uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and allows your browser to load media from your own projects, and a short-lived cookie that protects the Google sign-in flow. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
06Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is restricted to the people who operate the service, credentials are stored hashed or encrypted, and each account can only reach its own projects and media. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will tell you without undue delay.
07Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can export any project from within Arc at any time. For other requests, or to close your account, contact us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
08Children
Arc is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
09Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Arc evolves. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects how we handle your information we will notify you in the product or by email before it takes effect.
