What a short drama needs
A short drama is a serialized story cut into short episodes, each ending on a hook that makes the viewer swipe to the next. It needs three things a one-off clip generator does not give you: a plan across episodes, characters who look the same in episode twenty as in episode one, and control over the moments that carry the story.
How Arc builds one
- Bring a premise, a screenplay or a novel. The agent proposes an episode plan.
- Review the script plan for each episode, then confirm it to generate the full script.
- Create character and location references once; every episode reuses them.
- Storyboard each shot and adjust framing, action and pacing.
- Generate video and voice per shot, regenerating only the shots that miss.
- Assemble each episode and download it, or export a Jianying draft.
Directing, not just prompting
Scripts, references and storyboards remain editable throughout. Change a line of dialogue, rework one shot, or swap a location without regenerating the whole episode. The studio tracks credits and usage, so you can see what an episode costs as it takes shape.
Formats and looks
Episodes can be vertical 9:16 for mobile feeds or 16:9 for a widescreen film. Choose a built-in style template or bring your own references. The Arc home page shows frames in five different looks from released Katechon films.
