Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Katechon Technology ("Katechon", "we", "us") for the use of Katechon Arc ("Arc"), an AI video creation platform. By creating an account or using Arc you agree to them. If you use Arc on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you can bind that organisation.
01Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old. You sign in with a Google account or with credentials issued by an administrator; keep them confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for everything done through your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
02The service
Arc turns texts, scripts and briefs into storyboards, video clips, voice-overs and finished films using third-party AI models. Generated content is produced by statistical models: it can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased or unsuitable for your purpose, and it may resemble content produced for other people. Review everything before you rely on it or publish it. We may change, limit or discontinue features at any time, and we do not promise that Arc will be available without interruption.
03Your content
You keep whatever rights you hold in the material you upload and the prompts you write ("inputs"). As between you and Katechon, you own the images, video, audio and text Arc generates for you ("outputs"), to the extent permitted by law and by the terms of the model providers involved. Because AI outputs may not be protected by copyright everywhere and similar outputs may be generated for others, we cannot guarantee exclusivity.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, reproduce and transmit your inputs and outputs solely to operate, secure and improve Arc, including sending them to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not publish it.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to upload your inputs and that using them in Arc does not infringe anyone's rights.
04Acceptable use
Do not use Arc to create or distribute content that:
- is illegal, or infringes someone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights;
- depicts a real person in a false or misleading way, including synthetic voices or likenesses used without that person's consent;
- sexualises minors, or is sexually explicit without clear labelling where required;
- harasses, threatens or incites violence against people or groups;
- is deceptive about its origin, such as passing generated media off as authentic footage in news, political or financial contexts.
Do not probe, overload or interfere with Arc or its providers, attempt to access other people's accounts or projects, resell access, or extract models or data by automated means. Use through the API or connected agents is subject to the same rules. The model providers we rely on have their own usage policies, and we may enforce them.
05Credits and payment
Generation is paid for with prepaid credits, purchased through Stripe. Credits are consumed by usage at the rates shown in Arc at the time of the task, which may change. Credits are not currency, cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, and are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or we decide to refund them for a failed task. Prices exclude any applicable taxes unless stated.
06Third-party services
Arc depends on Google for sign-in, on Stripe for payments and on AI providers for generation. Their availability, pricing and policies are outside our control. If a provider rejects a request or changes its service, the affected feature may fail or change without notice.
07Our intellectual property
Arc, its software, design and documentation belong to Katechon and its licensors. Apart from the rights expressly granted here, you receive no licence to them. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation to you.
08Termination
You may stop using Arc and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service, in which case we will give reasonable notice where practicable. After termination you can request an export of your projects for a limited period; unused credits are handled as described in section 05.
09Disclaimers and liability
Arc is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, data or goodwill, or for the content of outputs. Our total liability for any claim relating to Arc is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You will indemnify us against claims arising from your inputs, your outputs as you use them, or your breach of these terms.
10Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the current version. For material changes we will notify you in the product or by email before they take effect; continuing to use Arc after that means you accept the new terms.
