The story
Under a swollen blood-red sun, the sorcerer-king Kratos announces his Games of Ascension. His new ziggurat is a mouth that will drink every life in the arena. Torvak, the undefeated champion of the sands, and Zira, the gladiatrix he is forbidden to touch, join a slave girl hiding forbidden sorcery and a senator with nothing left to lose to steal the Heartwood Spear, the one weapon that can pierce the king.
How it was made with Katechon Arc
- Wrote a series bible and a 45-episode guide, then hand-authored 268 shot units validated by a script before upload.
- Painted character and set sheets in one consistent oil-painting look; later costume and form changes became their own characters so every shot could reference them.
- Rendered all 45 episodes in Arc and exported each episode film with captions.
- Renamed the cast after production: only spoken lines, captions and titles changed, and the 25 affected shots were re-rendered rather than the whole series.

What we learned
- Mixing painted backgrounds with photoreal people breaks the look; the style brief applies the same painting language to both.
- Planned caption timings can sit a whole line early. Aligning the script to speech-recognition word timings fixed 396 of 400 lines.
