Generated minutes versus finished minutes
A finished minute needs more than a minute of generation. Our five series spent 15% of video money on re-renders, and a fast cut like BROODFALL kept 37% of the clips rendered for it. A carefully planned series is close to the first number; an edit-heavy film is close to the second.
| Model | List per minute | With 15% retakes | With 2× generation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p | $7.29 | $8.38 | $14.58 |
| Seedance 2.0 Fast 720p | $11.66 | $13.41 | $23.32 |
| Kling 3.0 Pro | $10.08 | $11.59 | $20.16 |
| Seedance 2.0 720p | $14.58 | $16.76 | $29.15 |
| Veo 3.1 720p | $24.00 | $27.60 | $48.00 |
| Seedance 2.0 1080p | $32.80 | $37.71 | $65.59 |

One minute in Arc credits
| Model | Video credits | Image credits | Total | On the Starter plan's credit price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p | 564 | 143 | 707 | $5.07 |
| Seedance 2.0 Fast 720p | 1,356 | 143 | 1,499 | $10.74 |
| Seedance 2.0 720p | 4,506 | 143 | 4,649 | $33.32 |
References are made once per series, so from the second minute on the image cost mostly disappears. See the credit estimating guide for the full worked example, or price your own shot list in the cost calculator.
Where Katechon Arc fits
Arc shows the credit estimate before each generation and refuses a batch your balance cannot cover, which keeps a per-minute budget honest.
If you only need a single minute once, paying list price for a few clips elsewhere costs less than a subscription.
