What our series ran
| Series | Episodes | Average episode | Shots per episode |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blood Sun: The Fall of Kratos | 45 | 69 s | 6.0 |
| The Little Fairy Bakery | 30 | 61.6–69.7 seconds | — |
| High Note | 40 | 84 s (as one film, with music) | — |
On The Little Fairy Bakery we set a rule mid-production: 60–70 seconds per episode, never 105, with about 50 seconds as the floor. An early cut that split eight long episodes into 32 thirty-second parts was rejected because the parts had no arc of their own.
Why about a minute
- It holds one beat: a hook, a complication and a turn. Less than that and there is no turn.
- It fits a phone feed and a single attention span, so viewers swipe to the next episode rather than away.
- It keeps the shot count manageable: six to seven shots of ten to twelve seconds.
Building the minute
- 0–5 s: the hook, picking up from the last cliffhanger or opening mid-conflict.
- 5–45 s: the scene, two or three exchanges and one reveal.
- 45–65 s: the turn and the cliffhanger, ideally on a face.
Clip length matters too. Arc renders clips of 4–15 seconds; our vertical series averaged about 12 seconds per shot, so a 66–72 second episode is six clips. A 12-second Seedance 2.0 Mini clip at 720p is 113 credits.
Where Katechon Arc fits
Arc plans episodes and assembles each from its shots, so you can see an episode's running time while you storyboard it.
Arc does not enforce an episode length or a platform's limits; check where you will publish.
