# Vertical 9:16 drama for mobile feeds

> Mobile viewers decide in the first seconds. Arc builds portrait episodes shot by shot so the hook, the cast and the cliffhanger land on a phone screen.

## Portrait from the first frame

Set the project to 9:16 and every reference, storyboard frame and clip is composed for a phone screen, instead of cropping a landscape render after the fact. Projects can also be 16:9 when a widescreen cut is the goal.

The difference matters: cropping a 16:9 frame to 9:16 at the same height keeps only about 32% of its width, so faces drift out of frame and compositions fall apart. Composing natively keeps the subject where the viewer's eye is.

## Built for episodic feeds

- Episode plans with a hook early and a turn or cliffhanger at the end.
- A recurring cast kept consistent through shared character references.
- Clips of 4–15 seconds, assembled into complete episodes.
- Lower-cost video models such as Seedance 2.0 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini for high-volume series.

## From episode to post

Download each finished episode and publish it through the platform of your choice. Arc does not post to TikTok, Instagram or YouTube for you, and those names are used here only to describe the format. Export a Jianying draft if you want to add captions or music in an editor first.

## Budgeting a series

A series multiplies every per-episode cost. Use the [credit estimating guide](https://arc.katechon.technology/guides/estimate-credits) and the [models table](https://arc.katechon.technology/models) to pick the model and resolution that fit your release cadence.
